NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website is not connected with a local, Virginia, or federal government body. Neither it nor its advertising partners offers a service for credit, employment, insurance, tenant, or other Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) decisions. Its purpose is to organize Page County and Virginia criminal-record resources. It is neither a private investigation firm nor a consumer reporting agency.
1. What This Website Is
This is a private reference site with no government affiliation. It does not store official records, submit filings, retrieve files, or conduct official record checks.
It directs readers to Page County custodians, including the sheriff and court clerks, and to the Virginia State Police Central Criminal Records Exchange and Virginia Sex Offender and Crimes Against Minors Registry. Some pages also connect to outside research tools.
2. Rules for Using This Site
You agree that you will not:
- Use bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools on the pages
- Harass, stalk, intimidate, or threaten a person with information found here
- Violate any local, Virginia, or federal law
- Use site content for hiring, housing, lending, or insurance decisions
- Attempt unauthorized entry into any system or account
- Interfere with site availability or another visitor's access
3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination
No information from this site or a linked tool may be used to stalk, threaten, intimidate, harass, or discriminate. Such conduct may be criminal. Virginia's Sex Offender and Crimes Against Minors Registry Act places special limits on registry misuse. The data supports lawful public-safety awareness, not vigilante acts, housing discrimination, or employment blacklisting.
4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency
We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create consumer reports, credit reports, or official background checks. Our advertising partners and this site do not offer tools designed to evaluate job applicants, rental applicants, insurance risk, or credit. You agree not to use site or linked-tool data to:
- Make a credit or insurance decision
- Evaluate a housing or rental applicant
- Choose whether to hire or dismiss a person
- Decide eligibility for a permit, license, or government program
- Carry out any other FCRA-regulated activity
A legally required check must come from an authorized, compliant source. Virginia criminal-history dissemination through CCRE is controlled by Virginia Code § 19.2-389.
5. No Legal Advice
Site content is not legal advice. General Page County record information cannot determine how a conviction, charge, warrant, or expungement law affects one person. Seek advice from a licensed Virginia attorney.
6. No Warranties
All material is supplied "as is." We make no guarantee that:
- A partner's search result is complete or correctly matched
- The site will always be available without interruption
- Every page is free from errors, bugs, or security flaws
- Information remains accurate, complete, and current
Charges and records may be filed, dismissed, sealed, amended, or expunged. Gaps are unavoidable. Treat no site content as an official statement from a sheriff, court, or Virginia agency.
7. Third-Party Services and Links
Links may lead to courts, sheriffs, state offices, legal-aid groups, and outside search providers. We do not control those destinations and are not responsible for their content, data practices, fees, or availability. Review their terms before use.
8. Intellectual Property
Text, graphics, logos, and code belong to Page County Criminal History or its content partners. Written permission is required to copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative work from them.
9. Limits on Our Liability
To the fullest lawful extent, we are not liable for damage arising from site use, including reliance on material obtained here or through a linked service.
10. Indemnification
You agree to hold us harmless against claims, demands, or legal actions caused by your site use or breach of these terms, including related costs and legal fees.
11. Governing Law
Virginia law governs these terms. Any dispute arising from site use must be brought in a court located in Virginia. Virginia FOIA, Virginia Code § 2.2-3700 et seq., governs public bodies and does not make this private resource a government office.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these terms. A new version takes effect when posted here.
13. Cutting Off Access
We may restrict or end access at any time, for any reason, without notice.
14. Severability
If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue. The affected provision will be adjusted only as far as needed to make it enforceable.
15. Questions
Questions about these terms may be submitted through the Contact page.
